Pacific Union International’s Contra Costa Housing Report is out, and I recommend reading the related Pacific Union blog post about it. Among other things, inventory is down but homes that are well priced are selling relatively quickly.

This data supports what I am seeing in the Lafayette, CA, market but doesn’t include information about properties that are currently available but fall under the MLS radar.

In addition, there are some great homes currently on the market that have not sold. I highly recommend you take another peek. Now is a great time to quietly purchase while others are not paying close attention. If you fall in love with a property, don’t just sit and wait for others to join the party. It always costs you more money when it becomes a multiple offer situation.
