It’s no secret that the number one reason families move to Lamorinda is our amazing public schools. You’ll find many of these schools consistently listed among California Gold Ribbon Schools  and California Distinguished Schools.

This week, three of our schools are in the national spotlight!

Congratulations to Happy Valley Elementary (Lafayette), Del Rey Elementary (Orinda) and Campolindo High School (Moraga) for winning the 2015 National Blue Ribbon School Award. 

These distinguished Lamorinda schools are 3 of the 33 California schools among only 285 public schools and 50 private schools nationwide who won this coveted National Blue Ribbon Award for 2015.

In congratulating the California schools, State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson said: “We celebrate these models of excellence as they shine in the national spotlight. I congratulate all the hardworking students, teachers, parents, staff, and administrators who made this recognition possible.”
