It is summertime, and there is no better season to unplug and relax with a book! Whether curled up on your couch or lounging at your favorite vacation spot, a great book makes life’s most pleasurable moments that much sweeter.
Our three regional libraries make finding the perfect book a breeze. The Lafayette, Orinda, and Moraga libraries are open once again to all, allowing guests to peruse the stacks – from the classics, to whodunnits, to the latest New York Times bestsellers. Sign up for a library card and check out as many books as you wish for a three-week period – for free!
Our three libraries are community treasures that serve every age group, and through July 31, readers of all ages can sign up here for the Contra Costa County Library’s summer reading program: Reading Colors Your World. Earn badges by completing activities and logging your reading time. Everyone who earns the completion badge wins a free book and the chance to win prizes.
I think we’d all agree that any reader knows that the reading itself is the greatest prize of all! Happy summer, and happy reading everyone.
