I am so proud to once again be a Rock Star sponsor of Kelly Corrigan’s 9th annual Notes & Words benefit for Children’s Hospital Oakland (CHO), Saturday, May 12, 2018. Alone, Kelly herself is a witty and inspiring author and speaker, but when she gathers together a group of noted musicians, singers, and literary figures for an annual evening of entertainment, the star power mega-wattage can’t help but lift every spirit in the Fox Theater.
This year, Kelly welcomes to the stage Foo Fighters front man Dave Grol performing an acoustic set, author and humorist George Saunders, winner of last year’s Man Booker Prize, the Oakland School for the Arts’ choir, Piedmont high school student and singer/songwriter Emmett Reed, and of course Kelly herself.
Since its debut in 2010, Notes & Words has raised millions for Children’s Hospital Oakland, helping to ensure that this top-notch facility continues to deliver hope and healing to children throughout the Bay and around the world. Because insurance covers only a fraction of CHO care, the hospital depends on alternative means of support in helping it to transform young lives. With your participation, Notes & Words continues to play a leading philanthropic role.
